Nicole Barr costing £50 to £75 GBP

Challenging as it may be, Nicole Barr have chosen to follow the traditions of Faberge and Tiffany by working with vitreous enamel rather than compromising and using imitation resin enamel. Nicole Barr therefore offers an exclusive collection that you won't find anywhere else.  True vitreous enamel as used in each Nicole jewellery piece is the beautiful fusion of fired glass with sterling silver, resulting in a lustrous color that will never change.

This quality of workmanship in enamel is rare – and you'll find that Nicole Barr is beautifully finished in every detail. They specialize in plique-a-jour enameling – a technique associated with Lalique in the 1900's but now only used by a handful of artisans.

Nicole Barr adds something special to your silver collection, vibrant colors with diamonds & precious gemstones.

Enamelling Techniques:

Plique à Jour
The French term means "glimpse of day" and describes how the light shines through the rich, lustrous enamel color. Each beautiful, delicate piece is translucent, suspended between silver wires without a backing, creating the effect of a stained glass window.
Basse Taille

In this technique a pattern is created in the sterling silver before enameling, so that when the enamel is laid over it the pattern shines through the transparent glass. Basse Taille adds texture and life to the design.
