For spring/summer 2008 a diverse range of techniques reference tribes on a global scale. Aged, low-lustre metals mixed with wood are a key combination for materials.
At Marni, disks of metal-edged wood are soldered together to hang in ancient, symbolic formations. Elsewhere punched tin has a raw, primitive feel, while enamelled hardware introduces some colour into an otherwise earthy palette. Look out for South American style beading early Spring. |
